Pleasant Ridge Weekly – Distance Learning Edition #1: April 6 through 10

From Mrs. Rosen-Leacher

On Monday, April 6th, we will begin our previously planned distance learning plan. Please remember that we have never done learning like this before. Your child is new at this. You are new at this. We are new at this. We fully expect some challenges this week and expect this to evolve over time. The health and well-being of our students and families remain our focus and we have not lost sight that we are in the middle of a global pandemic. If there is anything we can do to support your family in any way, please let us know – you can email your classroom teacher or me at leacherb@salineschools.org

As your child heads “back to school” tomorrow, know that the district administrative team is meeting daily to figure out answers to the many questions that have come up since Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order. Expect continued communication from both Superintendent Graden and myself. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Our nightly storytime will start back up again tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. – watch for a link in your email inbox. We may even try a live ZOOM storytime this week too! Watch for more to come on that front.

Finally, if you or your loved ones are struggling with the Covid-19 crisis, here is a valuable reference for you.

Thank you for your support and engagement during this unprecedented time. As always, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Let me know how you are doing: Pleasant Ridge Check-In w/ Families

We are ready and excited to continue to connect and engage with our students. We are Saline Strong.

Sending each of you love,

Betty
