Pleasant Ridge Weekly – Distance Learning Edition #5: May 4 – May 8

From Mrs. Rosen-Leacher

We are working on several surprises for students in the near future. The one thing I do want to mention to all of you is that NO, you haven’t missed ordering your child a yearbook for this year… but don’t you worry! We’ve got that under control (it might be one of our surprises). 🙂

Meals for Families in Need

With the extended school closure, Saline Area Schools has developed a food distribution program that will complement the incredible support already being provided by Saline Area Social Services. We recognize that there are students in need of nutritious meals and we are prepared to provide these for our families.

Saline Area Schools Food Services Department will be providing meals two days per week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Below are the specific details:

Dates: Every Tuesday and Friday

Who: Families with children under the age of 18 (or 26 if the child has special needs).

Form: To best serve the community and prepare meal packages, we request that all interested families fill out the form below EACH WEEK. The form will open on Friday at 12:00 p.m. and close on Monday at 12:00 p.m. to capture accurate meal counts.

SIGN-UP FOR MEALS THE WEEK OF MAY 4TH, 2020

Curbside pick up location: Saline High School, Auditorium Entrance/Bus Loop

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., both Tuesday and Friday

Meal Count: On Tuesday, each package will include both breakfast and lunch for three days. On Friday, each package will include both breakfast and lunch for four days.

Process: Pull through the bus loop in your vehicle, inform the Saline Area Schools employee how many individuals you are picking up for, pop or unlock your trunk and the Saline Area Schools employee will place your packages in the vehicle. *To maintain the health and safety of our food services employees as well as that of our families, it is critical to limit person-to-person contact! As such, please follow the process instructions carefully!
